This preserve features woodlands and the stream corridor along the Ganargua Creek with floodplains, wetlands and ponds. Across the creek from the Wayne County Norsen Park, the preserve protects a long stretch of Ganargua Creek. Trails wander along the creek and in the woods, where over thirty species of wildflowers carpet the woods each year.
From Norsen Road, the 0.6-mile (each way) trail leads through a trillium-filled wooded wetland, past a pond, and across a small stream. A highlight of this section of trail includes hand-painted ceramic native plant markers. The remainder of the trail winds through the woods following Ganargua Creek.
The Preserve is named in honor of the Kraai family. Doug and Becky Kraai purchased the land in 1983.
