Trail Works is hosting a special event this weekend in celebration of National Trails Day! Join us for the opportunity to explore our beautiful trails and receive some prizes.
Join us Saturday, June 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. for our National Trails Day hike at the Butterfly Nature Trail (Routes 350 & 31, Macedon), led by Marie Cramer. Trail Works will be doing our annual drawing for the Wegmans Passport program at this time, with the winner receiving a $250 Wegmans gift card. You can pick up your “mini passport” at this hike, or download it here to print at home. Trail Works will also be giving out our full Wegmans Passport book, pencils for trail rubbings, bottled water, and snacks.
Once you’ve picked up your “mini passport” or downloaded it here, hike two more trails of your choosing this weekend and be sure to get the rubbings. For families with young kids, you might enjoy the Blue Cut Nature Center, Casey Park, the Montezuma Audubon, or Wolcott Falls. For those looking for a bit more of a challenge, check out Third Creek, Chimney Bluffs, or Whistlewood.
Finally, join us on Sunday, June 4th, at 7:00 p.m. for our final hike of the weekend at Huckleberry Swamp (Catchpole Rd., North Rose), led by Tim Wilbur. Get the last rubbing on your walk with Tim, and be one of the first 25 people to turn in your completed “mini passport” to receive a $10 Wegmans gift card, and a Trail Works t-shirt.
National Trails Day provides the perfect opportunity to set off on a local trail with others in your community. Join the nationwide movement to give back to trails and build a world where everyone feels welcome and has access to enjoy the great outdoors. Please email trailworks@trailworks.org with any questions. We look forward to seeing you on the trails this weekend!
