In celebration of Earth Day 2022 and in preparation for the 198th navigation season of the New York Canal System, Trail Works Inc. will be hosting a “clean-up” event this Saturday, April 23, at Enlarged Erie Canal Lock 56 on Dry Dock Road in Lyons. Volunteers will be gathering at 9:00 a.m. and will work until 1:00. Coffee and donuts will be provided.
We will clear brush and debris from around the lock and along the Erie Canal Trail in the vicinity. Please bring loppers, trimmers, and/or rakes. Wear gloves, protective footwear and outerwear appropriate to the day’s forecast.
A dedication for the new E-56 Mural at the Dry Dock will be dedicated at the Lyons, Dry Dock at 11:00 a.m.
